The temperature out here on the prairie has been steadily falling.  We've had our first snow, and for that I am thankful.  People I know from other parts of the country think I'm crazy for living in Minnesota.  Or think it's nuts that I actually prefer winter over all other seasons. Don't get me wrong.  When the grass fades from brown to green I'm thankful.  When the sun sets in the heart of the July I am humbled.  When the days shorten in October I take time to pray.  Yet this is MY time of year.  This is when I feel most at home.
